Sometimes, parents just don’t understand.
Well, that’s probably how Pusha T felt when the rapper’s mom drove him, his brother and his brother’s friends all the way down to Fresh Fest (one of the biggest hip hop shows of the eighties) only to be stopped from going by his mother. Thanks to her, the young Pusha T missed out on seeing the likes of RUN DMC and Whodini.
He’s probably okay with it now as the G.O.O.D Music artist now hangs out with another hip hop legend, Wu Tang Clan’s RZA. The rapper tells ANDPOP’s Simon Mohos how he met up with RZA in Montréal of all places and how the legendary Wu Tang member influenced his music. Pusha T also dishes on his new upcoming album, My Name Is My Name, and why he wanted to release it now.
